"Devereux holds a very special place in my heart." Jenna Raskin Jenna RaskinJenna’s grandparents, Dorothy and Harry A. Raskin and Jenna’s father, Richard L. Raskin, donated land to the Devereux Foundation in 1969. Jenna’s father designed and built the facilities on the Scottsdale, Arizona campus that originally housed the day treatment school for children with special needs. For over 40 years, Mr. Raskin worked tirelessly to help those with emotional and developmental disabilities and was actively involved in Devereux Leadership Board positions until his death in March of 1997. In honor and respect for Mr. Raskin’s dedication and service, the facilities name was changed from Devereux Arizona to the Richard L. Raskin Center of Arizona in May of 1997. A memorial fund was also established in his name. Jenna has continued the family tradition. She is an artist inspired by Love, Peace, Harmony and Healing. Her vision of seeing the world as a compassionate and supportive place is reflected in each piece of her art. Through the symbolic heart, Jenna embodies her vision and her passion to create works of art that touch, energize and empower others. As the founder and owner of JRHeArtWorks, Jenna has been able to share her inspirational heart paintings with individuals, charitable organizations and those that support philanthropic endeavors. In support of Devereux’s 40th Anniversary, Jenna created and donated a very special heart to the organization. It was a piece designed to acknowledge the foundation for their commitment to provide exceptional services to those in need. It was also another way for Jenna to continue the Raskin legacy of giving. The Devereux 40th Anniversary Heart is available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Devereux Arizona to the Richard L. Raskin Center of Arizona.
