Nothing Fishy About Devereux's Seafood Festival
Devereux Florida recently cooked up some fun for kids at it’s residential treatment center in Viera, with a seafood festival open to all campus residents and staff. Everyone feasted on shrimp, broiled lobster tails, fried clams and more. This event was held as part of the organization’s commitment to fostering healthy lifestyles and introducing kids to a variety of food.
The festival succeeded in getting kids’ mouths watering for these new delectable flavors. One of our kids at the Viera Campus said it best, "This is deeee-licious!" Food Services Director Dan Viti kept the coastal fare coming as kids lined up for more. Nestled on a peaceful 55-acre campus in Brevard County, Devereux’s Viera Campus serves children and adolescents through a variety of professional behavioral and therapy services.

Devereux's Orange County Case Management Department Tops Adoption Goal
Last month, Devereux Florida's Orange County Case Management Department exceeded it's goal for securing adoptive parents for children in our care. Through the perseverance and dedication of our team, we matched 64 children with "forever families," surpassing the target of 60. "Helping children find families that will love and protect them for life is the greatest reward," said Regional Administrator Bill Bucher. Thanks to the hard work by our staff in Orange, Polk and Brevard Case Management, 123 children were successfully matched with families last fiscal year. "This has truly been a team effort. It takes everyone - from our case managers to counselors to supervisors and more - to make this kind of achievement happen." Congratulations to the Devereux adoption team.

Become a Fairy Godmother ... Donate a Dress!
Here's your chance to help a Devereux teen feel like a princess for a night. Do you have a gently used bridesmaid's dress or formal gown hanging in the back of your closet, just waiting to be "worn again"? Donate it for the Prom held each year at our Viera Campus Devereux School! All styles and sizes are welcome, but dresses in sizes 16 and up are especially needed. Thanks to the generosity of Devereux friends and supporters, our Prom is a magnificent event and girls are treated to an evening fit for a princess.
Have a dress to donate? Contact Principal Pam Kenney at (321) 242-9100, ext. 77400.
