Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

At Devereux, we believe a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) is fundamental to providing the highest quality healthcare services. Through open dialogue and the creation of brave spaces, we will engage in anti-discriminatory work that promotes an equitable and inclusive organization for employees, community partners and those we serve.

Devereux has committed to a multi-year, organizational transformation related to the issues of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. We consider this a critical component to the fulfillment of our mission, as well as the promise of our Family Standard. Our DEIB effort is led by a Steering Committee comprised of members of Devereux’s senior leadership team, as well as a diverse group of team members from across the country to ensure both forward momentum and regional relevancy.

In 2023, Devereux was named an “Honorable Mention” in Ragan Communications’ Employee Communications Awards in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commitment category. In addition, in 2022, Devereux was named a “Top 3 Healthcare Diversity Organization” by the Healthcare Diversity Council as a result of our: DEIB initiatives to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment; contributions to the healthcare industry; dedication to professional excellence; and commitment to recruiting and retaining individuals from all populations.

We invite you to look below to read stories about our ongoing DEIB efforts, as well as communications from Devereux’s senior leadership team about our commitment to combatting racism.
