For the third consecutive year, employees at the Devereux Pennsylvania Community Services center secured donations - and conducted a back-to-school drive - that benefited more than 300 youth served by the organization’s local outpatient programs.

The American Association of Suicidology reports that, in the U.S., nearly 45,000 individuals died by suicide in 2016. In addition, the organization said suicide is the 10th leading cause of death, with an average of one person taking his or her own life every 11.7 minutes.

  Devereux youth shares moving graduation speech

Justinee Rafter told the Devereux admissions team she was not interested in her education. But thanks to a team of compassionate and caring clinicians, teachers and staff at the Devereux Pennsylvania - Children’s Behavioral Health Services center, three years later - something changed. This summer, Justinee graduated from the Devereux Day School in Malvern, Pa.
