Devereux New Jersey, Pocono welcome new Advisory Board members

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New Jersey and Devereux Pocono are welcoming new members to their Advisory Boards.

Genevieve Kumapley, Pharm.D., BCOP, was recently elected to Devereux New Jersey’s Advisory Board, and Evon Peet, Ph.D., and Emily O’Malley, B.S., were elected to Devereux Pocono’s Advisory Board. All were elected to three-year terms.

As Advisory Board members, Kumapley, Peet and O’Malley will work to advance the mission of Devereux through development, advocacy and community relations activities.

Devereux New Jersey

 
Genevieve KumaplayGenevieve Kumapley, Pharm.D., BCOP – Kumapley is a Devereux family member. She serves as the clinical pharmacy manager/pharmacy residency director at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey. She also is the founder and executive director of MyGoal and Haven International, organizations that support individuals and families affected by autism and other intellectual disabilities.

“We are excited to welcome Genevieve to our Advisory Board, and we look forward to working with her to enhance our programs and services throughout the Garden State,” said Devereux New Jersey Executive Director Eric Eberman, M.S.Ed. “Genevieve brings a unique set of skills and experiences to our board, those of a parent of an individual we serve, a professional in the medical field, and an advocate for her son and others with autism and intellectual disabilities.”

Devereux Pocono

 
Evon PeetEvon Peet, Ph.D. – Peet is a Devereux family member who also sits on Devereux’s National Family Advisory Board. With more than 40 years of experience raising a child with special needs, she is an advocate for individuals and families with disabilities. Peet is currently the president and CEO of Aspirex Productions, a full package book publishing company, where she works with many prestigious authors. She previously worked for 20 years in the child protective services sector.

 
Emily O'MalleyEmily O’Malley, B.S. – O’Malley serves as officer of events for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in New York City. She is an experienced event specialist who has planned and produced a variety of events throughout her career, including the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Philadelphia Flower Show.

 

“Both of these women bring new ideas and energy to our amazing Advisory Board,” shared Devereux Pocono Executive Director Tina Skoda. “Evon is an engaged parent advocate who allows us the privilege of caring for her son. She supports our staff, as well as our mission. Her advocacy skills and firsthand knowledge of the challenges those with disabilities face will influence our continuous quality improvement. Emily is a vibrant event producer who has experience working with renown nonprofits in community event planning. Her expertise and enthusiasm will help us raise awareness about our organization and those we serve.”
