Devereux Ready to Break Ground for New Shelter |
April 25th will be a special day for the Devereux Residential Treatment Center in the Pine Hills neighborhood of Orlando, FL. Through the generous support of our donors, as well as the support of The Master Custom Builder Council (MCBC), new construction will begin for an emergency shelter building on campus. This much needed space will allow Devereux to provide a temporary home for children who have been removed from their homes due to allegations of abuse and neglect.
Join us at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25th as we “turn the dirt” on the building of our emergency shelter! RSVP for this event to fsalas@devereux.org.

Suntree United Methodist Church Continues to Support Devereux Children |
For many years Suntree United Methodist Church (SUM) has been supporting the children of Devereux. One ministry group at SUM, called “Lydia Circle,” has made hundreds of handmade quilts for the children in the Brevard county programs and has supported Devereux through monetary donations to ensure our children experienced a joyous holiday. Patty Hurst, assistant director of development, describes this group of women as “individuals who can always be counted on to support the local community, and Devereux is privileged to be a beneficiary of their good works.”

Two gentlemen from the Philadelphia area, one of whom had a long ago connection with Devereux, wrote a song titled "Christmas Gift," which was recorded by a high school student from Swarthmore, PA. The gentlemen asked if they could donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the "Christmas Gift" to Devereux.
