Kenneth Handal and Mary Francina Golden hosted a special fundraising event to benefit The Devereux Glenholme Center for the Arts Campaign. On Friday, October 16, a group of over 20 Glenholme families, friends, and staff from the tri-state area gathered to enjoy an enchanting evening filled with fabulous foods and cocktails that underlined an elegant evening of breathtaking performances. Fall is a busy time for the juniors and seniors at Devereux Glenholme, as they attend an abundance of activities concentrating on preparation for their future. Organizing this effort is Glenholme’s Post-Secondary Program, which focuses on assisting students in their future planning and ultimate transition to the independence of college living or career development. In late October and early November, Devereux Glenholme held their annual Open House events for parents. The Open House for Education took place on October 23; while Residential was on November 6. During the past two months, the talented Devereux Glenholme art students and their instructors have been hard at work on an amazing mural that spans the entire Art room and a portion of the hallway outside. On October 27th, five Devereux Glenholme students trekked to New York City for a tour and concert at Carnegie Hall. Alex F, Mike F, Brandon K, Ian M, and Patrick Mc were astonished by the musical talent and proficiency of Lang Lang and Friends, which included the musical prodigy Lang Lang and several student pianists!
