Why We Need Your Help
Simply stated, we need the generosity of people like you to give our young people all the help they need and deserve to give them a chance to achieve their fullest potential and to live fulfilling lives to give them hope.
- Most of our families cannot afford the necessary care we provide.
- State reimbursements do not fully cover the individualized and specialized care we provide.Your gifts help provide necessary programs and services and the additional measure of resources needed to provide a positive educational, developmental and social environment for our kids.
- Continuing and growing support from individuals is essential to securing funding from foundations, corporations and others.
How To Give
You can support Devereux in several different ways. To make an on-line donation, please click on any of the funds listed below and you will be directed to provide your information. You may also print our donation form and mail it with your gift.
- Annual Fund General support for Devereux to be used at the discretion of the Executive Director and his senior staff to meet the needs of our clients; and special holiday gifts and activities.
- Capital Gifts Computers, instructional software, audio-visual equipment, science equipment and recreation equipment.
- Therapeutic Foster Care Support for the 150 boys and girls from infancy to age 21 living in specialized foster homes. This will provide additional clothing, personal items, toys for the younger children, and educational and recreational activities that would otherwise not be possible.
Ways to Give
- Cash/Checks For most people a personal check is the easiest way to give. Print a copy of our Donation Form and send it with your gift. Contributions are tax-deductible as provided by law.
- Stock Gifts - Gifts of securities save a portion of any appreciation in the stock and receive the normal federal income tax charitable gift deduction. Stock gifts are the least expensive way to give. The transactions are simple; just call the Development Director at (508) 886-4746, ext. 228. We will provide you or your broker with the necessary transfer information and the transaction can be completed the same day as the call.
- Matching Gifts Many companies will match your charitable gift on a 1:1 or even 2:1 basis. Please check with your Human Resources Department to determine the availability of a matching gift.
- Gift Planning Devereux offers information and assistance on a full range of planned giving options including gifts of bonds, mutual funds, real estate, life insurance, gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts. Many such gifts can be advantageous to you as well as Devereux. For more information please call the Development Director at (508) 886-4746, ext. 228. Your inquiries will be treated in confidence.
