Advanced Model of Care
The Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Model of Care™ integrates the latest scientific and medical advancements with time-tested philosophies and compassionate family engagement to provide practical, effective and efficient care, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, and the world around them.
Our programs embrace four significant essentials of treatment: family engagement, functional behavior assessment, trauma-informed care and positive behavior support.
It is also important to note that family engagement is one of the most important building blocks in successful treatment and outcomes. Learn more about Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health’s Advanced Philosophy of Care.
Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports and Trauma-Informed Care
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health embraces a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports/Trauma-Informed Care (PBIS-TIC) approach to treatment. PBIS-TIC promotes an effective environment that facilitates positive interactions among staff and the individuals we serve. The model of care is supported by research and emphasizes prevention and intervention based on careful assessments and understanding of behavior.
Research tells us individuals who have experienced trauma are at greater risk of being re-traumatized and, therefore, any treatment program must be "trauma informed." Our "trauma-informed" individualized treatment approach promotes emotional safety and healing. We focus on mutual respect, shared decision-making, and establishing clear roles and expectations within the individual's environment. As part of our PBIS-TIC system of care, we complete comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate levels of supervision and individualized treatment planning to meet each individual's need and level of risk.
