Devereux
celebrates teachers and nurses during recognition weeks
At
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, we celebrate our nurses and teachers all
year long. But during the following national observances (see below), we really
want to give our nurses and teachers a special shout out:
- National Nurses Week – May
6-12
- National
Teacher Appreciation Week – May 8-12
“Devereux is extremely proud to recognize its outstanding
nurses and teachers who positively impact the lives of the many children,
adolescents and adults we serve every day,” said Vice President of Human
Resources Tim Dillon. “They are a
true embodiment of our mission – to unlock and nurture human potential for those
living with emotional, behavioral or cognitive differences.”
Throughout the second week of May, Devereux centers
across the country will hold recognition events to show appreciation for our
nurses and teachers who continually demonstrate an unwavering commitment to our
mission and the individuals we serve. We also plan to share stories and photos of
these celebrations on our Facebook Career and LinkedIn pages, so check these social media sites
throughout the week!
Learn more about these
nationally recognized weeks …
- About National Nurses Week: According to the American Nurses Association (ANA),
2017 is designated as the "Year of the Healthy Nurse." National
Nurses Week, May 6–12, will explore the theme: “Nursing: the Balance of Mind,
Body, and Spirit” – celebrating nurses who lead the charge for health and
wellness.
- About National Teacher Appreciation Week: Since 1984, the National Parent Teacher
Association (PTA) has designated one week in May as a time to honor the men and
women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children. This year’s
theme is “Teachers Deliver.” So join Devereux to #ThankATeacher for all they do
– and for influencing the lives of millions of children every day. Click here to learn more.
