More than 200 guests gathered at the historic Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts, for Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Massachusetts and Rhode Island’s annual gala to raise critical funds for children, adolescents and adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences.

The event generated approximately $225,000 for Devereux MA/RI. Funds raised will support the center’s programs and services, including its education program, as well as summer camps and field trips for youth served by the organization.

“This year’s event was an overwhelming success! We want to extend our deepest thanks to our sponsors and attendees for their kindness and generosity – and for helping us enrich the lives of the youth and adults in our care,” said Devereux MA/RI Executive Director Nadyia Abbas, M.A., CAGS, LMHC, LADC-I. “The gala is always a highlight of the year for us, providing a special opportunity to express our gratitude to community supporters. Together, we are furthering our mission and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”

Celebrating, supporting those in need

During the gala, guests enjoyed exquisite food and drinks prepared by Russell Morin Catering and Events, as well as live music from the band, Clockwork Boston.

Those in attendance also had the opportunity to participate in silent, super silent (a mini-live auction) and live auctions, bidding on exclusive experiences, including villas in Tuscany, Italy; weeklong stays in Kennebunk, Maine, and Cape Cod, Massachusetts; a private gourmet chef’s dinner for eight at a waterfront mansion in Rhode Island; and other extravagant items.

Abbas noted, “The event was nothing short of unforgettable with our incredible community partners coming out to celebrate and support our organization and those we are privileged to serve.”
