During Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is highlighting the importance of talking openly about mental health to combat stigma, foster a culture of empathy and understanding, and encourage those in need to seek support.

Devereux Florida recently partnered with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to place a trained clinician within the sheriff’s office communications center. The full-time clinician handles 911 calls related to mental health or substance use crises to ensure each call is assessed with care and professionalism.
