Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health awarded RFP to provide education consulting services in Delaware

Villanova, PA – March 26, 2024 – Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit providers of behavioral healthcare, today announced it was awarded a Request for Proposal (RFP) by the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) to provide education consulting services in the state.

The multi-vendor award establishes a pool of vendors the DDOE can utilize for education consulting services for its 19 school districts, 23 charter schools and early childhood/adult education programs, as the need arises.

“We are thrilled to be awarded this RFP and look forward to working with the DDOE to provide evidence-based, student-focused solutions to schools across the state,” said Devereux National Director of Student Services Colleen Katzenmoyer, Ed.D. “Our education services support school systems of all types and sizes in the areas of early learning, academic interventions, safety practices, and the assessment and treatment of all students, including those with more complex needs. Our goal is to help the school communities of Delaware achieve positive outcomes and create safe and nurturing learning environments where every student can succeed.”

Specialized services

Devereux offers the following education consulting services:

• Professional development: In-person, virtual or hybrid support and training for early care/education professionals, teachers, after-school program staff, mental health professionals and parents.
• Research and data analytics: Comprehensive program reviews and audits that synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to identify prevailing trends and themes.
• Curriculum consulting: Training for staff at all levels on various social-emotional learning curricula. Consultation and training on mental health strategies is also available.
• School support consulting: Work with educational organizations that often focuses on creating, implementing and improving programs for students with academic, social-emotional and/or behavioral challenges to provide a continuum of care within the least restrictive environment.
• Parent, student and community consulting services/resources: Materials, activities, strategies and trainings to promote social-emotional development, foster resilience and build skills for school and life success.
