Devereux’s Rich Rinaldi receives Philadelphia Admin Awards ‘Leadership Award’

Rich Rinaldi

Devereux Senior Director of Administration Rich Rinaldi, MBA, PMP, was selected as the winner of “The Leadership Award” during the 3rd Annual Philadelphia Admin Awards.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is thrilled to announce that Senior Director of Administration Rich Rinaldi, MBA, PMP, was selected as the winner of “The Leadership Award” during the 3rd Annual Philadelphia Admin Awards.

The “Leadership Award” recognizes an administrative professional who best demonstrates leadership qualities, such as, generosity, innovation, integrity and persistence, as well as a passion for helping their colleagues and organization succeed. Rinaldi was recognized during the Admin Awards’ Gala on June 2 in Philadelphia.

“I am thrilled and honored to receive this award – it is the culmination of the hard work of many talented team members who keep the trains running on time at Devereux,” said Rinaldi. “Administrative supports – both large and small – are the backbone of any organization. Our Office of Administration team ensures nothing is missed. Our ultimate goal is to make everything work seamlessly, every day.”

Providing innovative leadership

Rinaldi joined Devereux in 2015 and rose through the ranks to his current position as senior director of administration in 2021, overseeing four areas: 1) the national executive administrative team, 2) the project management office, 3) new business development and 4) procurement.

“Rich is one of the brightest, most determined and considerate individuals I have ever worked with, and certainly one of the most loved across our organization,” said Devereux Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rhea Fernandes, Psy.D., who nominated Rinaldi for the award. “Much of that admiration is due to his initiative and leadership. Rich saw an opportunity to enhance the way we tackle projects. He took it upon himself to earn the Project Management Professional designation, and then, singlehandedly, established a Project Management Office at Devereux, which has revolutionized how we approach almost any initiative we take on.”

The ultimate team member

Fernandes says Rinaldi leads by example, and is the ultimate team member.

“He has the skills needed to help guide and support our C-suite, but will also attend to the needs of his colleagues or travel to a center when help is needed,” Fernandes noted. “Recently, after traveling to one of our centers, I checked in with a leader who mentioned Rich was at a store purchasing board games for the children in our care because that was what was needed in that moment. It is these small acts of generosity that show how selfless Rich is, and demonstrates his passion for helping others. He is not afraid to roll up his sleeves. This is why everyone feels like Rich is ‘their person’ at Devereux.”

About the Philadelphia Admin Awards

Founded in 2012, the Admin Awards is the first and only public recognition program of its kind in the U.S. that focuses on recognizing and rewarding the achievements and dedication of administrative professionals. The Admin Awards operates in 10 cities/regions, including Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, the Pacific Northwest, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C.

“We created the Admin Awards to honor the backbones of organizations,” shared Admin Awards CEO Sunny Nunan. “Administrative professionals are critical to the success of their leaders and organizations and give their all to make others successful. Rich is a perfect example of the talent and tenacity it takes to be a successful administrative professional in today’s environment. His dedication, service and loyalty are an inspiration to all.”
