Former Devereux Florida youth expresses gratitude to staff for providing support

At Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, we strive to help the children, adolescents and adults in our care live their best possible lives.

Recently, a youth who completed specialized behavioral health treatment at Devereux Florida wrote a letter to team members, thanking them for their support, and for helping him grow – and thrive.

Look below to read his letter of gratitude.

“Thank you for everything. I never knew people could actually care for kids the way all of you do. When I first came here, I thought no one would be able to help me. But I was wrong. I am honestly sad to be leaving Devereux, but I am now on to bigger and better things.

When I first came here, I didn’t want to do my program, but I realized doing my program could actually be fun. I got attached to a lot of the staff, and I will miss every single staff that has worked with me. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has problems with mental and behavioral health. Even though I showed a lot of staff that I didn’t care, I actually did care.

I will miss you all, and I will always remember the things you have done for me. Goodbye and have fun with the many kids like me who do not want to do their programs. Just tell them what you told me, and they will be fine.”
