More than 50 guests wined and dined for a good cause at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New Jersey’s annual “Food and Wine Pairing” event.

The event, held at Osteria Trevi in Madison, New Jersey, raised more than $20,000 for Devereux New Jersey’s “Holiday Angels” campaign. The campaign helps ensure the nearly 300 adults living in more than 60 Devereux group homes across the Garden State receive a gift during the holidays.

“Our ‘Food and Wine Pairing’ event was a huge success,” said Devereux New Jersey Executive Director Eric Eberman, M.S.Ed. “We want to thank our sponsors and attendees for their support and generosity, and for helping to spread holiday cheer. Each year, our Holiday Angels campaign bring smiles to the faces of the individuals we serve by making sure they have a present to open and cherished memories to last a lifetime.”

About the event …

During the event, guests indulged in a delectable four-course dinner paired with exquisite wine selections, all while learning about the programs and services Devereux New Jersey provides for children, adolescents and adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. Osteria Trevi Chef and General Manager Enzo Montagnino and wine expert Steve Becker introduced the courses and wine pairings.

A highlight of the evening was when Saul Monaloy, who receives services through Devereux New Jersey, recited several poems he had written that were recently published in a book titled, “Ambiance of Love.” Saul had teamed up with his friend, Marko Vukosavovic, to write the book.
