It’s tee time: Devereux golf events raise critical funds for youth, adults with disabilities

Golfers recently hit the greens to raise critical funds to support children, adolescents and adults living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences served by Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health.

This spring and summer, four Devereux centers held golf events, generating a total of more than $225,000 for the organization.

Look below to learn more about these fundraising events.

  • Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island: The annual Devereux Cup Golf Event took place on June 21 at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island, and generated more than $25,000 for the center’s therapeutic foster care program.
  • Devereux New Jersey: Held at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township on June 1, the annual Golf Classic raised more than $30,000 for youth and adults throughout the Garden State.
  • Devereux Pennsylvania: Nearly 200 golfers participated in the annual Golf Classic on May 16 at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Flourtown. The event raised more than $125,000 for youth and adults served by the organization in southeastern Pennsylvania.
  • Devereux Texas: The 19th annual Divots for Devereux Golf Classic was held on April 19 at Wildcat Golf Club in Houston. The event generated more than $25,000 for the Devereux School and scholarship fund.

“We want to thank our golfers, sponsors and volunteers for helping to make this year’s golf events successful – their generosity and commitment to our mission is truly inspiring,” said Devereux National Director of Development Antonia Allsman. “Our goal is to assist those in our care in leading their best possible lives. Funds raised from these events directly support our innovative programs and services, and allow us to continue to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.”
