Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona hit the jackpot with its annual “Double Down for Devereux” event to raise critical funds for children, adolescents and adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences.

The event, which featured casino-style games, generated more than $40,000. Funds raised will support the center’s programs and services, including residential treatment, outpatient counseling, an adolescent health and wellness clinic, therapeutic foster care and respite care.

“This year’s ‘Double Down for Devereux’ event was a big win for the youth and adults in our care,” said Devereux Arizona Executive Director Yvette Jackson, LMSW, DBHM. “Thanks to the support and generosity of our wonderful sponsors and attendees, we are able to continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve in Maricopa and Pima counties – every day.”

All in … for a common cause

About 130 people attended the event, which was held at The Duce in downtown Phoenix. Guests enjoyed a delectable dinner and drinks, and played a variety of games, including roulette, craps, blackjack and Texas Hold ‘em poker.

Those in attendance also purchased raffle tickets for prizes that included courtside tickets to a Phoenix Suns game, tickets to an Arizona Cardinals game, a resort staycation, a gourmet wine basket, and more.

Jackson noted, “This truly was a night to remember, with everyone going all in to support our organization and the individuals we are privileged to serve.”
