Family Counseling Center

Devereux Florida’s Family Counseling Center provides individual, family and group therapy for children and families in office, home and school settings. We offer services to children, adolescents and adults, beginning at age 1.

Our Family Counseling Center is staffed by professional therapists who offer counseling for a wide range of concerns, including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, hyperactivity/inattention, relationship issues, anger management, behavior challenges, self-esteem, sexual abuse and sexual disorders.

Psychiatrists and nurse practitioners are available to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services as needed. Our Family Counseling Center also offers Targeted Case Management to support children and their families through challenges and crises.

Devereux Family Counseling Services are covered through Medicaid Managed Care Plans with no direct cost to the individual or family. We also accept some private insurance. Call us today to see if you are covered. For children without insurance, funding for counseling, psychiatric care and medication is available through the Family Services Planning Team. A self-pay agreement can be arranged for adults and for children who do not qualify for funding.

Services Supporting Sexually Exploited Youth

Youth may face significant challenges during adolescence and early adulthood, placing them at risk of becoming victims of commercial sexual exploitation. Devereux Florida offers specialized outpatient services to survivors of human trafficking, including those at-risk of commercial sexual exploitation. Services are now offered throughout Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.

In Orange County, the program provides intensive wraparound services, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, individualized clinical treatment, peer monitoring and both individual and group therapy. These services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, specialized therapists, behavior analysts and targeted case managers.
