Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health changes lives – by unlocking and
nurturing human potential for people living with emotional, behavioral or cognitive differences.
According to the most recent Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System data, there are more than 368,000 children in foster care in the U.S., and more than 108,000 children waiting to be adopted (more than 14,000 are 15 to 17 years old).
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is proud to work with foster and adoptive families to help children with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences find stable and nurturing homes where they can heal and grow.
“National Adoption Month is incredibly important because it not only celebrates the families who have flourished through adoption, but it also shines a light on the thousands of children across the U.S. who are still waiting to find a family of their own,” said Devereux Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rhea Fernandes, Psy.D.

At Devereux, we follow evidence-based practices (EBP) to support and empower the individuals we serve. In our latest Fireside Chat, Devereux President and CEO Carl E. Clark II, Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical/Medical Officer Dr. Yolanda Graham and National Director of Behavioral Health Services Dr. Crystal Taylor-Dietz dig into two EBPs – Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports and Dialectical Behavior Therapy – and share how they are making a positive impact across our organization.
Congratulations to Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical/Medical Officer Yolanda Graham, M.D., FAPA, DFAACAP, who was recently elected president of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s (AACAP) Regional Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (RCCAP) of Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.
