Behavioral Health Services
Treatment Home Programs serve youth, ages 5 to 21, with emotional and behavioral challenges in community-based homes with specially trained Treatment Home Parents. All youth in the program must be diagnosed with a mental health disorder and be involved with New Jersey’s Children’s System of Care.
Behavioral health services are flexible and are built around the individual needs of the youth. Youth receive treatment to include daily living skills, individual and family therapy, psychiatric services, medication management, case management and psychological assessments as needed. Each youth’s treatment program is individualized and based on the child and family needs with internal and external professionals. The program uses Together Facing the Challenge, an evidence-based treatment model developed by Duke University.

Devereux New Jersey’s foster care program is seeking caring adults to provide a therapeutic environment for children in their homes. By becoming a therapeutic foster parent, you have the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life.
If you have the ability and desire to help children grow and flourish, we need your help. Candidates interested in this unique and innovative program must own or rent a home large enough to accommodate one to four children. A high energy level, commitment to children and a sense of humor are all assets in this position. Devereux New Jersey provides intensive training and support to families willing to change a child’s life.
