Every time a group of digital stickers containing messages of hope is shared on Facebook or Twitter, Ideas Collide will donate a suitcase to Devereux Arizona. Ideas Collide hopes to donate 500 suitcases in 2020.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona is partnering with marketing communications firm Ideas Collide to provide suitcases for Devereux Arizona youth living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences.

When Devereux Arizona Advisory Board Member Joel Eberhart, who serves as the vice president of marketing and community development for Ideas Collide, and his business partner, Matthew Clyde, toured Devereux Arizona last summer and learned that youth often arrive at the center with their belongings in nothing more than a disposable plastic bag, they developed a social media campaign to donate suitcases to children and adolescents entrusted to the organization’s care.

Every time a group of digital stickers containing messages of hope is shared on Facebook or Twitter, Ideas Collide will donate a suitcase to Devereux Arizona. Ideas Collide hopes to donate 500 suitcases in 2020. In addition, youth will receive physical copies of the inspirational stickers to decorate and personalize their suitcases.

“When Joel reached out and shared his team’s idea, we were absolutely thrilled,” said Devereux Arizona Executive Director Yvette Jackson, LMSW, DBH. “This is a wonderful and impactful way to engage and inform the community of our mission. By sharing these digital stickers on social media, people are taking positive and meaningful action to support the individuals we serve.”

Eberhart noted, “Our team is proud and honored to partner with Devereux to inspire hope and remind individuals that no matter where life takes them, they are valued, and they have dignity. We hope these suitcases will follow our youth on their journey and serve as a reminder that all things are possible.”

How to get involved …

To learn more about this social media campaign and share a group of digital stickers with inspirational messages such as “You are stronger than you know,” “Enjoy the journey as much as the destination” and “Love all. Give to all,” visit ideascollide.com/giving.

For each share, Ideas Collide will donate another suitcase.
