How do you embed an inclusive, Servant Leadership mindset into your daily processes?

I remain focused on my top priority, which is to support the individuals in our care.

How do you inspire others to embrace Servant Leadership practices?

I stay positive and have patience in the face of any challenges that may come my way.

Share an example or story of how you demonstrated compassion or delivered quality customer service at your center.

There was an individual in our care who was exhibiting challenging behaviors. He was screaming at everyone and saying he was mad. I walked up to him and said, “Merry Christmas.” He looked at me and said, “Excuse me, it’s not Christmas. We’re in March.” I then said, “Happy birthday.” He looked at me again and said, “It’s not my birthday,” and he began to smile. So, I said, “Happy Thanksgiving.” He started laughing. In the end, he was able to calm down and talk to the staff respectfully. During his time of care, every time he saw me he would say, “Happy birthday,” “Merry Christmas” or say another holiday.
