Philip Putnam named vice president of quality improvement at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health

Devereux has announced that Philip Putnam, JD, M.S., has been selected for the newly created position of vice president of quality improvement.

Villanova, PA – July 5, 2022 – Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, one of the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit providers of behavioral healthcare, today announced that Philip Putnam, JD, M.S., has been selected for the newly created position of vice president of quality improvement. Putnam currently serves as director of legal, risk and quality at Devereux Florida.

As vice president of quality improvement, Putnam will oversee Devereux’s Quality Improvement function – including developing and executing quality assurance policies and initiatives – to ensure all aspects of the organization’s clinical care are aligned with evidence-based practices and guidelines. Putnam’s responsibilities also will include continuing Devereux’s efforts to further improve safety measures and protocols across all campuses to benefit the children, adolescents and adults served by the organization. Putnam will collaborate with leaders to ensure positive outcomes in the following areas: clinical analytics, individuals’ safety, accreditation and regulatory compliance, and risk management.

“Philip has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to enhancing safety and quality at Devereux, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the team,” said Devereux Senior Vice President and Chief Safety and Risk Officer Kelsey Lawson. “Over the last 23 years, he has played an invaluable role at Devereux Florida, and has been instrumental in the way our overall organization monitors incident tracking and reporting, and operates its risk management programs. In his new role, Philip will help drive positive change across our campuses, ensuring our programs and services continue to operate at the highest level, and the children, adolescents and adults we serve receive the best possible care and support.”
