Training and Consultation ServicesAges: AnySPARC offers consultative services to parents/families, schools and day cares. Parents can access consultations for school placements, assistance with individualized education plan (IEP) development, individualized skill-building programs, and personalized parent trainings. SPARC’s consultative services for schools and day cares are either child-specific or contracted for a number of students. Our services range from assessing individual behavior, resulting in the creation of a plan, to developing and implementing classroom management plans. Training workshops are available on a variety of topics, and include social skills programming implementation. In addition, SPARC staff can conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) and intellectual testing. The SPARC Difference: SPARC is a specialist in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). SPARC staff are experts in teaching the use/rationale of applied behavior analytic procedures to non-trained professionals, as well as in working with individuals displaying significant behavioral excesses and deficits. SPARC is dedicated to training both students and professionals. As we are a teaching clinic that provides undergraduate and graduate internships, SPARC staff are proficient in transferring knowledge and skills to others. It is important to recognize the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is considered the minimum qualification in the field to independently provide behavior analytic services. Not all BCBAs have specialization in high-intensity or complex behavioral challenges, or in transferring their knowledge and skills to those individuals who interact daily with patients. |
