Ford donates 3,000 face shields to help protect Devereux’s front-line staff

Ford Motor Company recently donated 3,000 3-D printed face shields to help keep Devereux’s front-line staff safe and healthy during COVID-19.

Ford Motor Company recently donated 3,000 3-D printed face shields to help keep Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health’s front-line staff safe and healthy during COVID-19.

The high-quality, clear plastic face shields are being distributed to Devereux centers across the country, as needed.

“We are extremely grateful to Ford for this generous donation of life-saving Personal Protective Equipment,” said Devereux National Director of Development Antonia Allsman. “We received this gift thanks to our wonderful partnership with Provista, which saw a need and connected us with Ford. These face shields are critical in our efforts to protect our essential staff as they continue supporting the children, adolescents and adults in our care.”

About Ford’s COVID-19 response …

In March, Ford began designing face shields after receiving a request from the Mayo Clinic. Since then, the Dearborn, Mich.-based automaker has produced millions of face shields for healthcare workers and first responders across the U.S. – and around the world.

In addition, Ford is making respirators, ventilators, face masks and gowns to help front-line employees in the fight against COVID-19.
