Devereux offers new mindfulness benefit to help employees enhance health, well-being

At Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, the overall health and well-being of our employees is of the utmost importance.

To help ensure our team members have the tools and resources they need to reduce stress, prevent burnout and improve life satisfaction, Devereux is providing a new mindfulness benefit – eM Life – to all employees and their families, at no cost.

eM Life, which is available through the organization’s free Employee Assistance Program, Carebridge, offers both live and on-demand mindfulness programs to help team members nurture their resilience.

“We want our employees to feel their very best so they can lead full and productive lives, and can continue to make a meaningful and positive difference in the lives of the children, adolescents and adults we serve,” said Devereux Senior Vice President of People Operations Mike Ernst. “eM Life offers practical programs on a wide range of topics that promote health, happiness, stress management and self-care – all of which can be applied daily – at home and at work.”

Building skills for everyday life

All eM Life programs are HIPAA-compliant to protect confidentiality. Features include:

  • Live sessions, led by expert mindfulness professionals, offered multiple times each day on a variety of topics
  • On-demand content so team members can access mindfulness when and where they need it
  • Multi-week programs for individuals looking for a more in-depth experience. Topics include:
    • Stress Less, Live More
    • Weight Balance for Life
    • Better Living with Diabetes
    • Living Well with Chronic Pain
    • QuitSmart Mindfully (smoking cessation)
    • Mindfully Overcoming Addictive Behaviors
    • Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery
    • Medical Professional Mindfulness Program

Ernst noted, “Our goal is to help our team members feel engaged, empowered and inspired to build and sustain healthy habits. New mindfulness content on topics, including sleep, anxiety, weight, finances, leadership, relationships, and more, is added every day. There truly is something for everyone.”
