Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health selected as a ‘Top 3 Healthcare Diversity Organization’ by the Healthcare Diversity Council

Villanova, PA – July 7, 2022 – Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, one of the nation’s oldest
and largest nonprofit providers of behavioral healthcare, today announced it was named a “Top 3 Healthcare Diversity Organization” by the Healthcare Diversity Council, an initiative of the National Diversity Council. Devereux will be formally recognized during the third annual National Healthcare DEI Conference, July 19-20, in Pittsburgh.

“We are thrilled and honored to be recognized by the Healthcare Diversity Council for Devereux’s steadfast commitment to, and actions supporting, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI),” said Devereux President and CEO Carl E. Clark II. “We are incredibly proud of all we have accomplished as we work to ensure DEI reaches all corners of our organization, and we are grateful for our dedicated and driven team members who are championing our efforts. As we move forward, we will continue to evaluate and measure our own practices to further advance DEI at Devereux, and across the behavioral healthcare industry.”

Devereux was selected for this honor as a result of its: DEI initiatives to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment; contributions to the healthcare industry; dedication to professional excellence; and commitment to recruiting and retaining individuals from all populations.

During the conference, Devereux Arizona Executive Director Yvette Jackson, LMSW, DBH, a leader of the organization’s national DEI Steering Committee, will accept the award on Devereux’s behalf. Jackson also will serve as a panelist and share her insights and experiences during a discussion on the topic, “LGBTQ+ Healthcare: Providing Services in the Community.”
