All foster parents serve as mentor, teacher, role model and more for the children in their care. Devereux places a high value on supporting parents in these roles, providing coaching to utilize strategies to increase positive behaviors and change challenging behaviors. Devereux’s Therapeutic Foster Care program is designed to meet this critical need for children facing emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences.

Devereux’s foster care services are rooted in practices designed to meet the unique needs of these individuals, and help them reach their full and unique potential. In caring for each youth, we emphasize teamwork and clinical excellence, and provide robust training in evidence-based parenting skills to help best position foster parents and children for long-term success.

Like any parenting relationship, it’s a significant commitment that requires hard work and deep dedication. Devereux supports foster parents who make this commitment by providing:

Adoption Through Foster Care

The entire team at Devereux places an unwavering focus on giving foster parents the skills and resources they need to be that positive force in a child’s life. In some cases, foster parents decide to make that connection permanent with a desire for adopting out of foster care.
