Residential Treatment Programs
Devereux Georgia offers four residential treatment programs to support youth with emotional and behavioral challenges. Youth are assessed and assigned to one of our programs based on age, gender, presenting problems and developmental level. Look below for a list of our residential treatment programs.
- Discovery Program: Serves male and female pre-adolescent youth, ages 10 to 12.
- Journey Program: Serves male youth, ages 13 to 21, with intellectual and developmental disabilities. (IQ range 55 to 70).
- Adolescent Females Program: Serves female youth, ages 13 to 21. Living spaces are divided into the younger adolescent group (ages 13 to 15) and the older adolescent group (ages 16 to 21).
- Adolescent Males Program: Serves male youth ages 13 to 21. Living spaces are divided into the younger adolescent group (ages 13 to 15) and the older adolescent group (ages 16 to 21).
The therapeutic environment in each of these programs is based on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), a framework that promotes the reduction of challenging behaviors through the encouragement of positive behaviors. Program expectations are taught and reinforced daily, and include: being respectful; being responsible; and being safe.
