Matilda Jane Clothing is showing support for Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health’s front-line staff by donating colorful and beautifully-crafted face masks.

The Indiana-based clothing company recently donated 5,000 fabric face masks to the nonprofit to help team members stay safe and healthy.

“We are extremely grateful to Matilda Jane for its significant contribution of life-saving Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which will be distributed to Devereux centers across the country,” said Devereux President and CEO Carl E. Clark II. “This generous donation of face masks will help protect our dedicated and essential front-line staff, as well as the children, adolescents and adults in our care. On behalf of the entire Devereux family, thank you Matilda Jane, for helping us remain #DevereuxStrong!”

Matilda Jane’s mask-making efforts

In addition to the Devereux donation, Matilda Jane donated mask-making kits to hundreds of its independent entrepreneurs, known as Trunk Keepers, who began sewing protective masks for healthcare workers in their communities.

“Our Trunk Keepers saw a real and urgent need for masks and were motivated to act. We continue to support their efforts by providing fabric and instructions, as it is the heart of Matilda Jane to give back to our communities,” explained Matilda Jane Vice President of Design Madeline Katzel in a news release. “We wanted to amplify our Trunk Keepers’ efforts so we produced 5,000 masks to be donated to Devereux to support front-line healthcare workers caring for many of the most vulnerable members of our society in areas of autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, specialty mental health and child welfare.”
