Channel 12 Shines the Spotlight on Devereux's Olympic Hopeful Kaylon Eppinger

Scottsdale, AZ (June 15, 2016) — Kaylon Eppinger’s Olympic journey was recently spotlighted by Phoenix NBC station, Channel 12 News. The piece highlighted Kaylon’s dedication and determination to be the gold medal winner in the Heptathlon. Titled the “Road to Rio,” Sports Journalist, Cameron Cox, interviews Kaylon at her training site as well as on the Devereux Residential Treatment (RTC) Campus in Scottsdale. Devereux’s RTC is a 48-bed facility that helps youth ages 5-17 with emotional, behavioral and/or substance abuse challenges learn skills to transition back to their families and communities.

Kaylon, better known as Ms. KayKay to the youth at the RTC, is a Lead Direct Care Professional for Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona. Because of her own health challenges, Kaylon demonstrates to the RTC youth what hard work and persistence can do for you in overcoming obstacles. Devereux staff and especially the youth at the RTC are cheering on KayKay in hopes she will make the team and win a gold medal in Rio.
