Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona’s Michele Bishop Named President-Elect of 4 Corners Association for Behavior Analysis

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (April 18, 2016) — Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona, a leading behavioral health provider, today announced that their Director of Autism Services, Michele Bishop, Ph.D., BCBA-D, has been elected President-Elect of the 4 Corners Association for Behavior Analysis (4CABA) for 2016. The announcement was made at the Association’s annual meeting in Loveland, Colorado.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve alongside so many dedicated professionals,” said Bishop. "I look forward to leading such a great team and further implement the strategic plan to move this organization forward.”

Bishop joined Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona in August 2015 as Director of Autism Services, overseeing the development and implementation of Devereux Arizona’s new applied behavior analysis program for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. She has served on the board for the past six years and is starting in her new role as President-Elect this month. Dr. Bishop has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2005 and a doctorate level BCBA-D since 2009. Bishop’s role will be to plan, organize and facilitate the 4CABA conference which will be held in April 2017 in Arizona.

“We are proud to share Dr. Bishop’s talents with the larger community as she serves as the 2016-2017 President-Elect and as the 2017-2018 President of the 4 Corners Association for Behavior Analysis,” said Lane Barker, Executive Director of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona. “We know her knowledge and expertise will be an asset to the governance structure of this professional organization.”
