Ragan Communications awards: Devereux earns ‘Honorable Mention’ in DEI category

Devereux recently earned an “Honorable Mention” recognition in Ragan Communications’ Employee Communications Awards in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commitment category.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health was recently named an ‘Honorable Mention’ in Ragan Communications’ Employee Communications Awards in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commitment category.

Ragan’s Employee Communications Awards “celebrate the organizations, people and teams who champion their employees and have redefined the field with their groundbreaking work.”

“We are honored to be recognized by Ragan Communications for our efforts to ensure Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) reaches all corners of our organization,” said Devereux President and CEO Carl E. Clark II. “Providing safe spaces and a welcoming environment where everyone feels they belong has, and always will be, at the very core of who we are and what we do.”

Devereux’s DEIB efforts

Since launching its DEIB organizational transformation in the fall of 2020, Devereux has made significant strides in its efforts to enact change. Read a previous news article highlighting Devereux’s DEIB achievements.

In 2022, Devereux was named a “Top 3 Healthcare Diversity Organization” by the Healthcare Diversity Council as a result of its: DEIB initiatives to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment; contributions to the healthcare industry; dedication to professional excellence; and commitment to recruiting and retaining individuals from all populations.

Clark noted, “We are pleased with what our organization has achieved to date, and we remain committed to evaluating and measuring our own practices to push DEIB efforts forward within our own walls, and across the behavioral healthcare industry.”
