Devereux Pennsylvania Director of Family and Community Supports Awarded Scholarship to Georgetown University Leadership Academy

Devereux Pennsylvania’s Amy Kelly, Director of Family and Community Supports, was awarded a scholarship by the Georgetown University Leadership Academy to participate in its competitive training course in August of 2015. The Leadership Academy is an intensive course of study comprised of two and a half months of preparatory activities and a four-day residential learning experience. The Leadership Academy is designed for individuals who are actively engaged in behavioral health care policy practice, research, and advocacy. “I am proud of our many professionals actively involved in various professional development opportunities and conferences in our field,” said Dr. Benoit.

“This is a highly competitive spot that Amy won. I was delighted to write her a letter of reference,” said Dr. Marilyn Benoit, Devereux Senior Vice President and Chief Medical and Clinical Officer.

At the Leadership Academy this August, Amy will participate in a variety of learning and coaching opportunities involving leadership assessments, writing assignments, lectures, peer discussion groups, and experiential exercises. “It’s an honor to receive this scholarship, and represent Devereux at the Leadership Academy. I look forward to becoming a ‘transformational leader’ with the other participants in the program, and together addressing the variety of challenges in the mental health field,” said Amy Kelly.
