Rayni Brindley joins RCPA Steering Committee to prioritize quality of care for children’s services

Rayni Brindley

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Vice President of Operations and Organizational Development Rayni Brindley was recently selected to join the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association (RCPA) Children’s Steering Committee.

The Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association (RCPA) represents providers of health and human services (like Devereux) who are committed to effective, efficient and high-quality care. The organization’s Children’s Steering Committee is responsible for advocating for consistent and quality care – specifically for children’s medical and behavioral health services – across Pennsylvania.

Brindley was selected to be part of the committee as a result of her involvement with, and experience in, the areas of applied behavioral analysis and autism.

“I’m excited to serve on this committee and have the chance to represent Devereux at the state-wide level,” said Brindley. “Our goal is to help RCPA ensure that the same quality of care is given to every child in the state. Because Devereux has significant expertise in children’s behavioral health care services, this role is a perfect fit for our organization.”

About the committee …

RCPA’s Children’s Steering Committee comprises separate, but related, workgroups, based on areas of need. Each workgroup will analyze and identify the most important issue within their respective areas of focus. Once the steering committee hears all of the topics, it will present the most critical issues – related to children’s services – on a regional, state and national level.

As part of her duties, Brindley will participate in the Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services/Intensive Behavioral Health Services workgroup – the proposed community-based service focusing on autism and applied behavioral analysis (ABA).

“I volunteered to be a part of this group because of my interest and expertise in this area,” she explained. “This team will focus on reviewing ABA-related priorities, best practice and feasible implementation strategies. The team’s recommendations will be presented to the overall steering committee.”
