Building a diverse internship class provides interns, supervisors, etc., the opportunity to share knowledge and learn from each other’s lived experiences, while promoting innovation in research and clinical care. As we serve individuals from various racial, ethnic, religious, neurodiverse, socioeconomic and other historically marginalized backgrounds, it is critical our interns and employees reflect these groups. In addition to larger Devereux initiatives, the internship program has its own DEIB committee. Current interns are invited to participate with former interns, supervisors, and other partners.
