Devereux PLEA’s Gretchen Kelly elected president of CAP Executive Committee

Gretchen Kelly

Devereux PLEA Executive Director Gretchen Kelly was elected president of the Conference of Allegheny Providers Executive Committee.

Congratulations to Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health PLEA Executive Director Gretchen Kelly, who was recently elected president of the Conference of Allegheny Providers (CAP) Executive Committee.

CAP, an affiliate member of the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association, is an association of nonprofit human service organizations in Allegheny County whose membership consists of behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disability, and advocacy providers.

Kelly was elected to the position as a result of her 30-plus years of behavioral healthcare experience in the state.

“I am excited and honored to serve as president of CAP’s Executive Committee,” said Kelly. “I have been a member of CAP for more than a decade and have served as a member-at-large on the Executive Committee for the past two years. I am proud of the amazing work of our partner organizations in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community, and representing this group will be incredibly rewarding as we work to strengthen human services in the state.”

Transforming lives

In her role as president of CAP’s Executive Committee, Kelly will advocate for the needs of the individuals and families served by Devereux PLEA and all of CAP’s member organizations, ensuring they have access to the high-quality compassionate care they deserve.

She noted, “I look forward to leading the committee as we work to advance the important mission of CAP and further amplify the collective voice of our members, ensuring we have a strong, unified platform to collaborate, share best practices and address the complex challenges facing the human services industry. Together, will we transform lives across Allegheny County.”

About CAP

As a coalition of 64 professional organizations, CAP’s mission is to harness the collective experience and influence of human service providers to drive advocacy for industry improvements at the local, state and federal level. These organizations employ more than 15,000 staff members and serve residents across the Allegheny County region, reaching more than 130,000 individuals and families each year.
