Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health California announces 2020 funders list

Goleta, CA – Dec. 1, 2020 – Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health California is thrilled to announce its 2020 funders list, comprised of generous contributors who awarded grants throughout the year to help adults living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences thrive and achieve their full potential.

Funds from the grants were used to support Devereux California’s exercise and wellness programs and sensory awareness programs, and to continue to provide person-centered care and treatment to individuals served by the organization. These grants will help adults stay active and engaged, and improve their overall health and wellness. Devereux California also received donations of recreational supplies through an organization-wide Amazon Smile campaign, which will help individuals with special needs lead more fulfilling and rewarding lives.

“We are incredibly grateful to all of our wonderful supporters for presenting our organization with these generous grants and donations,” said Devereux California Executive Director Amy Evans, M.A., LMFT, LPCC. “Grant funds have been used to create a sensory room where our adults can self-soothe and regulate their behaviors and emotions. We also were able to purchase exercise equipment and other weight management tools to help the individuals we serve improve their physical, mental and emotional health and well-being. These are just a few of the ways we are putting these grants to good use!”

Santa Barbara grantors include:

  • The Ann Jackson Family Foundation
  • The Association for Senior Care Santa Barbara
  • The Chumash Band of Indians Foundation
  • Santa Barbara Foundation
  • The Towbes Foundation
  • MUFG Union Bank Foundation
  • Williams-Corbett Foundation

State government grant contracts include:

  • California Department of Developmental Disabilities, Home and Community-Based Services

In addition, Devereux California is grateful for the generous support from its families and friends in Santa Barbara and Goleta, as well as communities throughout California and across the country.
