Congratulations to Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health California Executive Director Amy Evans, M.A., LMFT, LPCC, who was elected to the California Disability Services Association's (CDSA) Board of Directors.

CDSA is a statewide organization representing more than 100 community-based organizations that support and empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. CDSA membership voted Evans onto the Board as a result of her 35-plus years of behavioral healthcare experience in the state.

“I am excited and honored to serve on CDSA's Board of Directors and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities across California,” said Evans. “CDSA has been instrumental in my role at Devereux. The organization keeps me informed of legislative matters impacting the adults and families we serve and provides me with a platform to advocate for the services and support those in our care need to thrive. I look forward to contributing my skills and passion to further CDSA's critical mission.”

Strengthening disability services

As a Board member, Evans will collaborate with other industry leaders to set the strategic vision and priorities for CDSA, ensuring it continues to be a trusted advocate and resource for the disability community.

Evans noted, “In my role, I will concentrate on legislative priorities and statewide activities that are relevant to CDSA membership and the individuals we support. My personal goal is to expand CDSA's focus in service areas where Devereux California has significant expertise, such as supported living and residential services. In addition, I hope to connect member agencies who may not be familiar with other providers but share my interest in getting more involved.”

About CDSA

CDSA is California's largest and most diverse voice supporting intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) service providers. The organization's mission is to champion options and access for the I/DD community by connecting, representing and empowering the providers who support them.
