An 'un-fore-gettable' event: Annual Golf Classic raises nearly $75,000 for Devereux N.J.

Under bright blue skies, 80 golfers swung into action to raise critical funds for children, adolescents and adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New Jersey's third annual Golf Classic.

The event, held at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, New Jersey, generated nearly $75,000 for individuals served by the organization throughout the Garden State.

“What a wonderful event! Each year, our Golf Classic gets bigger and better,” said Devereux New Jersey Executive Director Eric Eberman, M.S.Ed. “I want to thank our golfers, sponsors and volunteers for their generosity and enthusiasm, and for helping to make this year's event a tremendous success. The funds raised will have a profound impact on the youth and adults in our care and allow us to continue to provide life-changing programs and services. ”

Making a positive difference

Following the golf tournament, guests bid on exclusive items, including an ultimate New York Yankees experience, a golf outing at Forsgate Country Club and a Taylor Swift collage, during a silent auction.

Eberman noted, “Through events like this, we have an opportunity to come together as a community to make a positive difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve, providing them with the compassionate care and support they need to achieve their full potential.

Up next: 'Food and Wine Pairing' event

Devereux New Jersey is hosting its annual “Food and Wine Pairing” event benefitting the center's “Holiday Angels” campaign on Oct. 6 at Osteria Trevi in Madison, New Jersey. The campaign helps ensure the 300-plus individuals living in more than 70 Devereux group homes across the state receive a gift for the holidays.
