Devereux honors direct care staff for providing exceptional care, support

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health's 2024 Thomas Donovan Culture of Caring Award recipients are the ultimate team players – they are passionate about their roles and compassionate toward their colleagues and the children, adolescents and adults in their care.

Every year, Devereux presents its Culture of Caring Award to direct care staff across the organization who are committed to providing the highest level of care and support on a daily basis.

“Congratulations to this year's award recipients for serving as beacons of hope and inspiring all those around them to strive for excellence,” said Devereux President and CEO Carl E. Clark II. “These exceptional employees are champions of empathy and kindness, treating the individuals and families they serve with the utmost dignity and respect. Through their selfless actions and unyielding dedication, they embody the very essence of what it means to foster a culture of caring.”

About the Thomas Donovan Culture of Caring Award

Established in 2002 by Devereux's national Board of Trustees, the Thomas Donovan Culture of Caring Award pays tribute to longtime Devereux trustee, friend and benefactor Thomas Donovan.

Donovan served on the Board of Trustees from 1989 to 2010, and was chairman from 1997 to 2002.

The Culture of Caring Award is presented annually to a staff member at each of Devereux's centers.

Clark noted, “We want to recognize those valued team members who encourage their colleagues and consistently go the extra mile. Their legacy will continue to positively shape the lives of those we are privileged to serve.”
