Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health provides programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across all stages of life, in many types of community and residential settings in southeastern and northeastern Pennsylvania. Typically, the referring agency and school representatives (where indicated) work with families to determine the most appropriate level of care for an individual.

We are proud to serve individuals and families across the country. Individuals and families who are not located near our service areas are encouraged to contact us for help and information.

Our autism services, including the Center for Autism Research & Education Services (CARES), Community Adult Autism Partnership Program (CAAPP) and Short-Term Autism Intensive Residential Services (STAIRS) are widely-recognized throughout the region. In addition, our Children’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services (CIDDS) center’s Autism Assessment Center provides families with swift access to autism assessment and diagnostic services, with same-day preliminary feedback .

Children and Adolescent Services

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health serves children and adolescents, ages birth to 21, with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, as well as behavioral and emotional disorders. These children are cared for in the environment best suited for their growth and well-being. Programs include residential treatment, approved private schools, treatment family programs, and outpatient and community-based services such as transition to work and respite care.

Adult Services

Devereux Pennsylvania provides opportunities for personal growth for adults with emotional and behavioral disorders, brain injuries, mild to severe intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other developmental disabilities. Based on individual needs, a wide range of supports are available from intensive, 24-hour care to more independent living arrangements.
