Residential Treatment Center Services - Scottsdale
Licensed, masters level clinicians use individualized and culturally competent therapies to address behavioral and mental health challenges. All clients receive individualized and group therapies incorporating family therapy when possible.
Our clinicians work with child and family teams (CFTs) to design and implement a treatment plan for each child based on their unique strengths and needs. The components of the treatment plan may include all or a combination of the following:
Substance Abuse Program
Our Substance Abuse program incorporates the skills training component of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), relapse prevention groups, and on-site 12-step meetings. Upon completion of the Substance Abuse program, each client will graduate with a comprehensive wellness and recovery plan.
Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Therapy
Our DSEC therapy program is designed for youth who have been commercially sexually exploited. Our CSEC program includes the utilization of the STRIVE curriculum in both individual and group therapy.
Anger management groups focus on reducing harm, managing emotions, and developing effective coping skills.
Youth use daily life situations to gain insight into developing social, life and coping skills that are taught through curriculum based groups and programming activities such as (but not limited to) bullying prevention, communication, self-respect, responsibility, creative problem solving, conflict resolution and social responsibility.
Our recreation therapy program includes art, life-skills groups, music, dancing, team-building, swimming, sports and off-campus activities. Groups rotate every 8 weeks to allow youth to explore different areas of interest throughout treatment.
In addition to the social aspects of our recreation therapy programs, youth also learn life-skills. Our Culinary Arts program involves maintaining a garden, learning about nutrition, menu planning, cooking and presentation. This program also allows our Culinary Arts students the opportunity to obtain an Arizona Food Handlers Card for future employment.
Our school’s mission is to provide students with opportunities to achieve academic, emotional, social and behavioral success in order to successfully transition into the community. Our on-site, year-round school is accredited by the AdvanceED-North Central Association (NCA) Commission and licensed by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) which allows us to provide elementary, secondary and special education programs.
Our small classroom size allows children to receive individualized educational attention based on their needs. Many of our students have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and our staff use curriculum-based assessments to determine any additional needs.
