Pamela Reed, M.S.
Executive Director
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Texas

As Devereux Texas’ executive director, Pamela Reed, M.S., oversees the care and treatment of more than 350 individuals living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences each year.

Reed joined Devereux Texas in 1992 as a special education teacher and, since that time, she has served in roles of increasing responsibility, including director of educational services - when she collaborated for four years with a large Texas school district to operate a federally-funded alternative education program - director of operations and assistant executive director. She was promoted to executive director in 2006.

Reed earned her Bachelor of Science in education from Texas Tech University and her master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Houston Clear Lake. She is a Texas Licensed Child Care Administrator, and is sought out by local, state and national organizations as a mental health leader and expert. Reed has worked tirelessly throughout her career to advocate, educate and help raise funds to advance the field of behavioral healthcare and improve the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges, as well as their families.
