Short-Term Residential Treatment (Devereux Esperanza)

Overview

Devereux Esperanza is a seven bed licensed Behavioral Health Residential facility providing short-term (up to fourteen days) enhanced residential services to male and female adolescents ages 12-17 years of age in a structured treatment setting that includes 24-hour supervision and therapeutic services.

Services are designed for adolescents who are in crisis, requiring active treatment in an environment with a high degree of oversight, intensive programming, treatment, and continuous supervision by professional behavioral health staff.

Services Provided

Therapy sessions are offered at a minimum of three times a week, which can include a combination of individual and family sessions. Family therapy is applicable for all adolescents, using “family” in the broadest sense. Group therapy can include (but is not limited to) focus on life skills, socialization, substance-use education and treatment, anger management, conflict resolution, and transition skills.
