Philosophy of the DECA Program
The primary goals of the DECA Program include the following:
  1. To identify young children's protective factors in the home and school environments.
  1. To support teachers and families in their efforts to work together to help each child strengthen their resilience.
  1. To reach children through interventions at the Universal, Targeted, and Expanded levels. At the Universal level, we impact all children in the class as well as improve the overall quality. At the Targeted level, we work with children who have concerns in their social/emotional development. At the Expanded level, we impact children who have existing special needs, IEPs, IFSP, mental health diagnoses, or services from outside agencies or additional professionals.
