In 1996, The Devereux Foundation realized the need in the early childhood field for a resilience-based initiative with a focus on young children, their caregivers, and their families.
The Devereux Early Childhood Initiative was established, with its first published product and training available in 1999 on the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA) Program.
The DECA Program is a strength-based assessment and planning system designed to promote resilience and social/emotional strengths in children ages 2-5. The DECA is the standardized assessment at the heart of this program.
Other products have since emerged, as well as resources currently in development including: the Clinical version of the DECA, the electronic version of the DECA, the Infant/Toddler and School Aged versions of the DECA, and more.
This presentation will focus only on the DECA Program. To learn more about the other DECI products, please contact 1-866-TRAIN US or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
