|Every day, the staff of Devereux promise our children that tomorrow will be better, safer and warmer. And every day, we deliver on those promises. It is only through the generosity of our supporters that we are able to deliver on the promise of a special holiday. For some of our kids, this will be the first time they experience a home cooked holiday feast, or what its like to wake up with presents under a tree. Here are a few highlights of the Devereux Florida holiday season.|
|Orlando residents Chris Totten and Sam Graper know how to have a party with a purpose|
|Chris and Sam opened their home to a holiday party for neighbors and friends. The one thing they asked in return was that each of their guests bring a toy for our children. Through this wonderful celebration, they collected over 500 toys and educated the community about Devereux's mission. Chris said' "It's easy, anyone can do it and the most amazing part is waking up the next morning after the party and seeing all the toys and knowing someone is going to get one of the gifts Christmas morning." |Planet Hollywood and Lee James Floral Design know how to throw a party for Devereux kids|
|This year Planet Hollywood in Orlando Florida opened their doors to a second annual private VIP party for 200 Devereux children! Orlando business owner, Lee James asked a Devereux foster care child what she wanted for Christmas. Her response made him want to reach out to a local establishment to gain their support, as well. "She said, Lee..all I want for Christmas is a party. She had never eaten at a restaurant before." |
With an entire floor of the renowned Planet Hollywood restaurant reserved, each child was served their choice of the delicious menu, fun and games, even a visit from Santa Claus himself!

|Holy Trinity Episcopal Church knows how to provide a special holiday|
|Through the kindness and generosity of the congregation of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne, 170 Devereux children found many gifts in their Christmas stockings, this year! Mrs. Eleanor Dougherty, a member of Holy Trinity Church, hand made 170 Christmas stockings. Even though these stockings were already filled with love, Holy Trinity Church members filled the stocking with goodies for each child.
