| Transitional Living Apartment Programs are located throughout Chester and Delaware County neighborhoods, these residences are for individuals requiring minimal assistance in the following areas: activities of daily living, laundry, safety, shopping, medications and meal preparation. Individuals in this program receive daily supervision in their apartment to insure consistent use of acquired skills. |
| Community Living Apartments |
The Rosemont Plaza Apartment Programs serves adult individuals with a primary diagnosis of mental retardation. Using existing skills and abilities, the Rosemont Apartment Programs seek to assist each individual in the development of new levels of independence and ability. Additionally, the residence maintains a focus on community integration at every opportunity. The objective is to provide each individual with the skills, which will enable them to sustain and improve their abilities and to achieve their maximum potential regardless of handicap or disability. Each program considers individual needs, abilities, and desires. The setting is ideally located in a suburban community which offers choices such as shopping, entertainment, recreation, worship, and other areas of interest.
Black Hawk Apartments are a community living arrangement that allows challenged individuals to live in the same apartment complex with those who are unchallenged. It meets the requirements of the ADA and allows for the independent living of individuals who need minimal staff support. The residence currently supports dually diagnoses (MH/MR) individuals, of any age, who have jobs in the community. |
| Community Group Homes |
| Located throughout Chester and Delaware County neighborhoods, these residences are home to adult males and females with a mild to profound diagnosis of mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities. Each home has from three to eight residents. The objective of the programs is to challenge individuals to achieve their greatest degree of independence with skills instruction in housekeeping, shopping, cooking, budgeting and self-care. Transportation is provided to daily vocational programs or work. Recreational, religious, shopping and entertainment activities are offered to each individual. |
